Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases you are eagerly anticipating.
The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore will be released on August 23rd 2011 and I am excited to read this because I simply loved I Am Number Four - both the book AND the movie. I can't wait to know what happens to Four and Six in their quest to find the others.
I've seen him on the news. Followed the stories about what happened in Ohio. John Smith, out there, on the run. To the world, he's a mystery. But to me . . . he's one of us.
Nine of us came here, but sometimes I wonder if time has changed us—if we all still believe in our mission. How can I know? There are six of us left. We're hiding, blending in, avoiding contact with one another . . . but our Legacies are developing, and soon we'll be equipped to fight. Is John Number Four, and is his appearance the sign I've been waiting for? And what about Number Five and Six? Could one of them be the raven-haired girl with the stormy eyes from my dreams? The girl with powers that are beyond anything I could ever imagine? The girl who may be strong enough to bring the six of us together?
They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They tried to catch Number Four in Ohio—and failed.
I am Number Seven. One of six still alive.
And I'm ready to fight.

Loved the book and movie too! Can't wait for this one!
I bought I Am Number Four last year but I still haven't read it... lol. I should probably get to to it, but there always seems to be other books I'm more excited to read instead...
I haven't read or watched I Am Number Four, but I'll have to remedy that in the future!
I haven't read the books, but I did love the movie! Great choice!
Yay, glad you loved both the book and the movie! I've heard some people say not-quite-so-positive things about I Am Number Four, but I guess I just have to see for myself sometime. I currently have this one for review, but if I don't like it, maybe I could send it over to you... Maybe? Or if you want to read the ARC earlier, I'm pretty sure I can send it over sometime before it releases. The problem is postage, though if you're interested, email me! We can work something out. :)
